Dajani is a board member of , the largest collaboration of ethnic news organizations in the U.S. He served for two years (2003-2004) as President of the Arab Cultural & Community Center in San Francisco. In 2005, he was appointed by Mayor Gavin Newsom to the where he was elected chair in 2008. Dajani graduated from Columbia University in New York City with a B.A. degree in Political Science. He is fluent in Arabic, Hebrew, English, and French.
